Certified Nurse’s Assistant Training

Our CNA component is the fastest growing program and very much in demand. This program will result in high quality, holistic health care for the elderly and disabled in our community. It will provide an opportunity for each nurse’s assistant to develop clinical and laboratory skills, knowledge and awareness of their role and responsibility in resident care in order to meet the demands of today’s medical profession. Support and follow-up services are a standard benefit of the program for the 120-hour – six week program. This course is mandated to be under the instruction and supervision of a licensed nurse. Nurse’s Assistants are prepared to deal with the physiological problems that influence the chronically ill patient. The program includes time spent in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings as required by the Virginia State Board of Nursing. Upon completion of this program training, students have the option of taking the Virginia State Board Exam, which can double their earning potential.
